About Us
NAMI Middlesex was incorporated in 1979 as Concerned Citizens for Chronic Psychiatric Adults. In June 2002, the name was changed to NAMI Middlesex to reflect the bonds with the national organization, National Alliance on Mental Illness, and the state organization, NAMI NJ.

Our Mission
NAMI Middlesex is dedicated to building better lives for individuals and families affected by mental illness. Because we are run by, for and with our members. We are dedicated to building a community of hope and reducing stigma about mental illness.
Goals
NAMI Middlesex discusses and also advocates for family roles in helping people who have a mental illness. Additionally, NAMI Middlesex provides help, information, and guidance to families, caregivers, and persons with mental illness through support groups, supportive resources, educational programming and social groups for families and peers.
